Fall

This definitely does not reflect the rather gloomy (and wet) weather that is happening right now, but the thing I love about Fall, is the colors. Red, orange, yellow and some greens.

Oh I wish the downpour would stop right now. I need to rush over for Thanksgiving! *cries

Personal review on the Sony Nex-5

If you have been reading my blog for awhile, you would know that I recently switched from using the Canon G10 to the Sony Nex-5. As I have been getting numerous emails and questions on the camera, I decided to do a personal review once and for all as I got a little tired repeating myself.

I won't be delving into the technical details because firstly, there are many professional review sites out there that do a much better job and secondly, I'm not a tech guru and don't know all the tech specs of my camera. What I will share is my personal experience in using the Nex-5 since I got it about 1.5 months ago for the benefit of those who have been asking

This post will also allow me to easily direct others who wish to know more about the Nex-5, here. So, if you have any questions, please post it here for the benefit of others. If I didn't answer any queries, you can ask here as well.

Kelly Moore

INSERT PICTURE HERE

Well, that should have been a picture of the coolest and best looking camera bag that I've seen. But it's midnight and when it's that late, I am lazy. I've been posting one entry after another - heh, typing with a vengeance after the short hiatus from this week's hectic work week.

And so, camera bags.

Why are they so goddamn U-G-L-Y?

My previous G10 was housed in a cosmetic pouch. Yes. A freebie from Anna Sui cosmetics. My Nex-5 now sits snuggly (tad too snugged) in a very old Esprit cosmetic bag. I haven't been able to find a nice and I mean, decent looking camera pouch that isn't too chunky looking, masculine and is not a big bag on its own.

Not that I am looking for a camera handbag but these by Kelly Moore made me go Oh Wow. If I wasn't told, I would have mistaken this for a regular handbag. Just looking at all these beauty shots of the bags makes me want to order one right away. But. I don't want a camera bag but a camera pouch. I wish Kelly Moore offered one of those.

Well, if anyone is looking for a camera bag that doesn't look ugly, this might work well for you!

First pictures from Lexi

The first shot. Ramen. By the way, Ajisen no longer serves my favorite butter corn Hokkaido ramen?!! WHY??!!!

A confession. I have had my new Sony Nex-5 (Lexi) for two weeks but I have yet to fiddle around with it. I don't even know how to fix on the flash! Blame it on training and an extremely hectic work week that has left me drained by the end of the day- back to back 6 meetings for two consecutive days, presenting twice and more.

Anyway, this is for my friend who is considering the Nex 5 as one of her camera options for purchase :P

Firstly, I haven't fully learnt how to use this camera so the photos might not truly reflect the true potential and capability of the Nex 5. But so far, I am quite pleased with the results but definitely looking forward to using the manual functions and more in time to come.

Secondly, all photos were taken at night in low light conditions where I will usually require the use of a flash. Surprisingly, none of the photos used flash (since I haven't learnt how to attach the flash to the camera, doh, -_-) but I must say, it looks good.

By the way, Canon just released some new digicams and Panasonic as well. Looks like there will be a whole new bunch on the market. I'm still happy with Lexi so far though and not bummed out that I didn't wait :)

The official wedding photos!

My beautiful sister

The photos are out and the family spent some time looking through them. I love the black and white shots that Dominic did and the many happy moments captured. I shan't say much, just enjoy the photos. These were just some of my favorites! I only wanted to post about 10 but it was hard to choose :P

I might sound biased saying this because Dom's a friend of mine, but he is really professional and my family was very impressed with him. In fact my Dad was introducing him to our relatives and friends and saying that he's one of the best photographer that he has met. :) My sis and brother-in-law were very happy with the results.
