As we were trying to get our bearings and find our way, we chanced upon a tiny shop that sold dim sum and pastries. We bought two bo lo baus and they were nice and warm! I love the crust on the top of the bun and this one had a subtle hint of pineapple. Lovely!
I also got my toasted milk bun fix at Tsui Wah. It is such a simple idea but it tastes so good. It's something I can replicate quite easily if I can find the correct type of bun. I do think it tastes a little like a ciabatta? Then just lightly toast it and slap on some butter and condensed milk.
