A brief thought

I snowboarded over the weekend and it was fantastic. I was sweating like crazy because it was much warmer than expected and I was over-dressed, feeling slightly jetlagged after a 17 hour long flight and a flurry of activities the moment we touched down, but felt immediately refreshed when I started boarding down the slopes.

It was a weekend of sporting activities be it the snowboarding sesh or watching the Manny Pacquiao-Joshua Clottey (12-0) fight or watching my first 'live' NBA (Blazers vs Raptors) match. And it was so much fun.

So earlier on, when this phrase came up,

'Life is meaningless without sport. Sport lives everywhere.'

I immediately went, Yes! Indeed!

My sport is running and yoga. But I enjoy watching a variety of sports. Swimming, figure skating, winter sports, basketball etc. It makes life so much more colorful.

The marathon is months away but we have actually started training. When I am running, or think about the training, I honestly feel bleah at times. But I realized that when I don't, I get extremely grumpy and I long to run. I feel excited to run. I think that's what sports does to you.

Whatever sport you engage in, keep that going because it keeps you alive. And for me, I definitely will.

I like to make something beautiful when I run.
