There are many home-styled breakfast places in Portland. Most of the breakfast cafes here are in quaint little cottages. With wooden flooring, tables and chairs and a fireplace, it feels very much like home. They all serve eggs benny, toast, pancakes, sausages and bacon. Some do it good, others average but mostly good. Although most are pretty similar, it's nice to check out other options. We did so after I touched down. No eggs benny for me on this trip and I opted for something less heavy - veggie panini that was toasted to perfection but so huge that I could barely finish all of it.

Another place to check out - Laurelwood.
